iGeneration’s Communication Psychology Facing Covid-19 In Terms of Cognitive Dissonance

The Covid-19 pandemic has a broad impact on various aspects and lines. One of them is that the country’s economy not moved forward as before. unemployment rate increase among iGeneration who have just graduated from college feels confused anxious because they found job, thus negatively affected them. This research aims to analyze in facing cognitive dissonance theory by linking interpersonal communication through psychology. was case study conservative generation 22 years age with excellent academic achievements. results show three mental mechanisms consist selective prevents dissonance, post-decision creates need for reassurance, minimal justification action induces shift attitude, informants different perspectives perceptions affect self-efficacy issue dissonance.
